Sandals Size 8When someone mentions 'sandals' you immediately think of the flat sandals that you would wear at a beach or on holiday. However the fasion world are much more generic in thier description for 'sandals' and you'll find all manner of footwear being described as a 'sandal'. No supprise that this style of footwear stems right back with the ancient Egyptians, who wore sandals made from palm-leaves and papyrus to protect their feet from the hot sands. Later on it was adopted by the greeks, who made them from twigs, fibres or willow leaves, sometimes with soles made of cork. The 'sandal' style of footwear implies that they are of an open-type, with a sole that is held to the wears foot by straps, leaving the majoirty of the foot exposed. |
